Intro to the Book

In this book, Yesi shares intimate details of her life with candor and transparency to address a range of topics from childhood neglect to religion, sexual agency, and more. This literary offering is not just a recounting of personal events, but it is also an exercise in self-reflection. With each memory, Yesi details the lessons she learned, providing an opportunity for the reader to reflect on his or her memories and make conclusions about the lessons of such memories. The book shows that every trial, tribulation, and triumph we endure has value.
